The Walking Dead Season 4 News and Spoilers

'The Walking Dead' Season 4 Spoilers: Rick Recovers From a Broken Heart, But Doesn't Rule Out New Romance
Since the season 3 finale of "The Walking Dead," a number of rumors surrounding Rick's future have surfaced. They've mostly concerned the potential conflict between him and Daryl, however, other rumors indicate that Rick could be finding new love amidst the zombie apocalypse, although it may be a bit too soon.

"I think there has to be some kind of mourning time," Lincoln said to TVLine earlier this month. "I don't think he's able to engage at all on that level at the moment. I wouldn't rule it out though... I think Sarah Wayne Callies would be phoning me deeply upset if anything like that would be happening in season 4."Season 4 will pick up four to eight months later from where season 3 left off, which means that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) will have been a single father for nearly a year. Although the timing seems right, in Lincoln's eyes, his character isn't ready for a new relationship.

So it remains unclear if Rick will move past the death of Lori (Callies), but he wouldn't rule it out. Although nothing is set in stone, it's still fun to speculate. Rick could use a new companion. Living in a post apocalypse world can be lonely.

In other recent "Walking Dead" news, producer Gale Anne Hurd claims that the first eight episodes of the new season reintroduce the perils of the zombie-strewn landscape. "We're going to amp up the threat of the walkers, because they've started to seem like a manageable threat. They are not a manageable threat," she said.

One photo from the upcoming season features Rick trudging through the woods with a walker hot on hit tails, a perfect example of the zombie increased that the producers promise fans. Check it out above.

"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC on Sunday, October 13 at 9/8c.

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Spoilers, Episode 1: The Governor Very Different From Season 3? Character Deaths Revealed, AMC Zombies Until 2022, New Weapons

New AMC "The Walking Dead" season 4 spoilers emerged about the Governor and new weapons along with new character deaths.

Next season, which is all about zombies, will feature not only the changing relationship betweenCarl and Rick Grimes, but new problems from the Governor, who is still out there in the prison.

"Yeah, he's still very much in the mix. That's certainly not the last that we'll see of him. When we see him again and where we see him again, that's the big question," series creator Robert Kirkman told IGN. "It's not going to be like it was in Season 3; it's not going to be Rick and the Governor on a collision course with a conflict between them. He'll be used in very different ways next season."

Kirkman also revealed what else we are expected to see in season 4.

"I'll say that there are a lot of familiar elements that are remaining. Michonne is still around, Rick and his group are still in the prison, the Governor's still out there... so there are a lot of things that are carrying over from Season 3 to Season 4, but I can't stress how different things are going to be," Kirkman said.

What about main character deaths? We all know that Kirkman will show no mercy when it comes to killing off characters like Rick Grimes (which fans are definitely not happy about).

"Who's dying and when they're dying is all worked out very early on as we're plotting out the entire season," Kirkman said. "It's something that we always know where we're going with it."

New details reveal that popular AMC show may never end as soon as we think.

"We hope that zombies live forever and we've just begun to find out what the post-apocalyptic world is like so that we'll be sitting here at the Barclays conference in 2022 discussing the fact that Walking Dead is not over ...," said AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan on Wednesday, May 22, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

So that basically means a long time.

New weapons will also be here next season.

According to DreadCentral, props master John Sanders said that Daryl Dixon [played by Norman Reedus] will get a new crossbow and Michonne's sword will have a new design. [READ MORE DETAILS HERE]
